Alpine skiing holds a significant place in Austrian culture, which is why ski racing games tend to enjoy great popularity. “Ski Challenge” has been a prominent IP since its first release in 2004, captivating players worldwide in digital competitions to achieve the fastest times down the slope. Following the discontinuation of development in 2016, players endured years without official Ski Challenge competitions. However, this has changed now: In collaboration with Greentube and Mi'pu'mi Games , we’ve revived this classic game with a complete reboot for mobile devices. Embark on a quest for speed on renowned tracks such as Zermatt, Kitzbühel, Garmisch, and many more. Compete against friends and foes in a multi-tier leaderboard and watch your competition fall behind.

Production

Our team partnered with Greentube and Mi'pu'mi Games to bring the classic IP to modern mobile devices. The development was based on the original resource material while undergoing a massive overhaul to remaster the game in the newest Unity engine version, with a backend setup powered by PlayFab and Azure. We contributed to the project with senior generalist engineers, handling the following tasks:
